This list was just something I was doing to play around. I had some models that I knew I would never really use in a competitive list, so I thought I'd just put them together in a friendly list. I was deliberately not making a tournament competative list here, hence the lack of long fangs. The list was more geared towards vehicles, but still worked well against the MCs in a Daemons army. My razorbacks had TW Las on them because my magnets I planned to use to conver them to Las/TL Plas didn't arrive until today, too late to use them! Just gonna do a summary report on this one instead of a really detailed report.
My list. I might miss some wargear here and there, but if I do it probably wasn't important to the game!:
HQs:
Rune Priest w/ Runic Armor, Plasma Pistol, LL, Tempests Wrath
Rune Priest w/ Runic Armor, LL, JotWW
Wolf Priest w/ Jump Pack
Troops:
5x Grey Hunter w/ Meltagun, power weapon, Razorback w/ TL Las
5x Grey Hunter w/ Meltagun, power weapon, Razorback w/ TL Las
10x Grey Hunter w/ Meltagun, Plasmagun, Power weapon, Wulfen, Rhino
10x Grey Hunter w/ Meltagun, Plasmagun, Power weapon, Wulfen, Rhino
Fast Attack:
10x Skyclaws w/ Meltagun, Powerfist, Wulfen
Elite:
Dread w/ Multimelta, DCCW, Drop Pod
Dread w/ TL Lascannon, DCCW
Heavy:
Long Fangs w/ 5x ML
I can't give many details on his list, as Chaos Daemons is one codex I don't have. The things I do know:
Tzeentch Daemon Prince
2x Horror squads w/ bolt of Tzeentch and icon
A Fateweaver(?) that lets anyone within 6" reroll saves
Ku'Gath
5x Flamers of Tzeentch w/ Bolt
Soul Grinder
Some nurgle daemon w/ 3 wounds
We ended up doing the Night Battle daemon mission from the battle missions book. My forces had to deploy into random table quarters, and his came in in 2 groups, one during deployment, other as reserves. He got the group e didn't want, which consisted of the Daemon Prince, one horror squad, Ku'Gath, and the nurgle daemon. We both completely forgot about the night fighting part of the mission.
His 2nd group didn't come in until turn 3. Of his first group, his daemon prince killed my skyclaw pack with just taking a couple wounds in return, after taking 0 wounds from 2 TL lascannons and 5 krak missiles. I was eventually able to get one of my Rune Priests into assault with it and tore it to pieces with the rune weapon. That rune priest and squad then moved to claim one of the objectives on the side of the table closest to me. His nurgle daemon didn't really do much except suck up hits from my dreads, who couldn't wound it worth anything. His horrors from his first group got onto one of the objectives and sat there the entire game. Ku'Gath killed one of the 10 man grey hunter squads, but was reduced to one wound in the process.
He made some bad choices when he brought his second group in on turn 3. The fateweaver went off the table edge and went back into reserves. It would come in on turn 4. The soul grinder also went off the edge and was lost! The other horror squad came in on top of an objective in the middle of the board. His flamers came in between my razorbacks, one of which still had its compliment of grey hunters and rune priest. He wrecked the razorback immediately, but in return got assaulted and wiped out by the rune priest and his squad. The next turn that same rune priest squad finished off Ku'Gath. They went on to claim an objective in the bottom right corner. That gave me 2 held, 2 held by his horrors, and one that no one held. Last turn i was able to assault his horrors on the middle objective with one of my dreads to contest it. He tried to take out that dread with his fateweaver at the end of the final turn, but failed to kill it.
I guess the main point of this battle report was just admiring how awesome rune priests are against Daemons. I was having trouble wounding Ku'gath, but the rune priest had no problems. Same with the daemon prince, and also made short work of the flamers. I made a mistake in that I should have claimed the unclaimed objective with a grey hunter squad I had on that side of the table, but was too focused on trying to take out his horror squad on one of the objectives. I have decided that, even if I hadn't taken them simply because I didn't have time to convert stuff the way I wanted, I am never taking that many lascannons again. They underperformed in every way possible, admittedly a lot of which was due to very crappy rolling(how can you possible miss so much with twin linked weapons, and fail to wound multiple times when you only need 2+ to wound!). My long fangs did absolutely nothing as well, but that is partly due to a placement problem and bad difficult terrain rolls to get into shooting position on the ruins they deployed in. I didn't really expect the skyclaws to do much, but with preferred enemy "MC", fearless, and berserk charge with a wolf lord, I was really thinking they would accomplish something more than being wiped out by a daemon prince.
Anyways, go Rune Priests!

The unnamed Nurge Demon might have been a beast of nurgle. Can those be taken singly?
And yes, his list was more of just a fun list. He primarily plays CSM and is just making a Daemons army for the heck of it. I also fielded stuff in mine I would have never considered doing in any kind of competative setting(the skyclaws in particular, but the 2x dreads as well most likely, especially with those loadouts).
We both made some significant mistakes in that fight, and both had some horrible rolling in many respects(I don't think a single meltagun hit the entire game, and my lascannons were failing to cause wounds more often than not...and my Long Fangs accomplished a whole 0 wounds the entire game). He got screwed in when his units came in, and his soul grinder falling off the edge of the world. His biggest tactical mistake was destroying the rhino that had a RP squad in it with his flamers, as he could have possibly contested an objective with them instead.
