Neophyte Undergoing Surgeries

Hello to all....I live in Virginia and have been piecing together stuff I'll need to get into tabletop wargaming....in the past, I've played pen and paper RPGs, got addicted to console games, and now desire to take up a brush and do this here wargame thing. I'm going to start with 40k, do some Ultramarines and Orks, would like to take up Warmachine, and hope Battletech gets there ass in gear and try to reclaim some of that glory that has been lost.
