Howdy! I played 40k for several years when I was a teenager, and whfb when I was younger. Life happened, met a wonderful woman and had a kid. The party days are over and I needed something to fill the quiet hours while my partner and daughter are sleeping. So I got back into the modeling and painting aspect, and recently (partially because of dakka) I have developed an interest in the gaming as well.
I have pieced together a little more than 2k of orks, and I am hammering out a hybrid horde/mech list with some of the folks in the list forum. I will be posting pics once I have a couple of coherent units completed. I am doing a lot of repair work, as finances dictate that my models be primarily second-hand. I like to think that there is a certain art to recovering models rather than shelling out for the new stuff.
Thank you all very much for the input I have gleaned from lurking on this board the past couple of months. Dakka's been an awesome resource in my quest to get caught up. Hopefully I can provide a well informed n00bs eye view.
