This past weekend I attended the Genghis Con 40k tournament. In total there were about 70 people that showed up for the 2 day 5 game event. Letting my daemons take a well deserved break I decided to break out my deathwing and some of my old ravenwing models (I don't think my ravenwing have seen the light of day since 4th edition).
You can find all the scenarios used for the tournament here: http://files.meetup.com/1305240/GhengisCon_2011_40K_Scenarios.pdf
I've summarized the primary and secondaries as part of my reports but if you want to see what all the bonus points then click above.

Game #1 vs. Space Wolves (Logan Wing)
Mission: Kill Points, secondary kill critical unit (selected by owning player)
Deployment: spearhead
HQ
Logan Grimnar
Troops (each of the squads had something different, like 2 chain fists, or power fists instead of chain fists, but this is a good representation of what he had)
4 Terminators, 3 storm shields, 2 combi-melta's, chain fist, wolf claw, drop pod
4 Terminators, 3 storm shields, 2 combi-melta's, chain fist, wolf claw, drop pod
4 Terminators, 3 storm shields, 2 combi-melta's, chain fist, wolf claw, drop pod
4 Terminators, 3 storm shields, 2 combi-melta's, chain fist, wolf claw, drop pod
4 Terminators, 3 storm shields, 2 combi-melta's, chain fist, wolf claw, arjack, drop pod
Heavy Support
6 Long Fangs, 5 missile launchers
5 Long Fangs, 4 missile launchers

He chose as his critical unit the larger squad of long fangs, I picked one of the heavy flamer deathwing squads. He wins the dice off and decides to go first.
Deployment: He puts the long fangs in a corner on a hill. I reserve everything.
Wolves Turn #1:
He drops his 3 pods in a crescent in front of the long fang packs. Arjac on the right side, logan in the middle and a generic squad on the left.
KP: Wolves: 0, Deathwing:0
Deathwing Turn #1:
I deathwing assault in all 3 cml squads. They all go to the left to draw line of sight on the long fangs, killing 3 from the smaller squad.

The deathwing assault.

KP: Wolves: 0, Deathwing:0

Wolves Turn #2:
He gets in one pod and puts it in the center next to where I dropped belials command squad. He doesn't get very good run rolls and isn't going to be able to assault me this turn.
KP: Wolves: 0, Deathwing:0
Deathwing Turn #2:
I get in one more unit of terminators. I go risky with my critical unit and drop it in on the long fangs, frying one with the heavy flamer. I multi-assault 2 terminator squads with belial, the command squad, and another unit of terminators. I lose 3 terminators from the non-command squad unit, kill off one squad, and route the other which had two members left. They will be unable to rally because they will be near my other squad. The

Turn 2: One Space Wolf Terminator squad dead and another fleeing.

KP: Wolves: 0, Deathwing:1
Wolves Turn #3:
He gets in his other pod. And drops it to take some pot shots at my remaining two terminators. Logan charges my other non-command squad unit, uses his special ability to give everyone within 18 inch's an extra attack. Logan and his squad kill all but one terminator. On the other side of the board the long fangs move up shoot pistols and assault my 5 man squad. He rolls really well and I don't and lose an entire 5 man squad to long fang's (it was 6 pistol shots, and 24 close combat attacks, the math just doesn't work out on that ).
KP: Wolves: 2, Deathwing:1
Deathwing Turn #3:
I get in both attack bike squads. One comes in on each side of the table. I dump 3 melta into his terminator squad on the left and fail to do any damage, I then charge in with my 2 man terminator squad and kill 2 of them, they wipe me out in return. On the right hand side my melta's whiff against the closest drop pod. Belial and his command squad charge Logan and his squad (there's only logan and one guy left). I kill off logan and his las squad mate, but not before Logan takes off the head of the last remaining terminator from the squad he charged the turn before.
Turn 3: I begin the hunt for his long fangs

KP: Wolves: 3, Deathwing:3
Wolves Turn #4:
Arjac turns around and heads towards my bikers. The long fangs run away. The terminators on the left assault and kill a bike squad. His falling back squad runs off the table.
KP: Wolves: 4, Deathwing:4
Deathwing Turn #4:
My last squad of bikes comes in on the left and I drop my last squad of terminators in front of arjac on the right, flame his terminators and kill one of them. I proceed to try to chase down the long fangs, but get poor difficult terrain roles and end up blowing up a pod to get the extra distance. The melta's are a little more efficient and get me 3 more drop pods this turn.
KP: Wolves: 3, Deathwing:7
Wolves Turn #5:
Long fangs keep running but are now hemmed in by my other heavy flamer squad. Arjac assaults and kills off another bike squad.
KP: Wolves: 4, Deathwing:7
Deathwing Turn #5:
I catch the small squad with my terminators and wipe them out. I also pop the last 2 drop pods. A good run roll for me ensure's his long fangs can't get away
Turn 5: I finally corner his long fangs

KP: Wolves: 4, Deathwing:10
Wolves Turn #6:
He turns arjac around and charges into my heavy flamer squad, I kill all of his guys but one (including Arjac).
KP: Wolves: 4, Deathwing:10
Deathwing Turn #6:
The command squad kills off the long fangs, and the other squad of terminators finishes off the last of the other terminators. Leaving him with 2 terminators on the right hand side of the field.
KP: Wolves: 4, Deathwing:12
All the free kp from the drop pods really hurt him. That and the fact that his terminators cost way more than mine did. I end the round getting all of the bonus points.

Looking forward to the rest of them! Hey, do you find you are more risky with your deepstriking termies now that you have so much daemon time under your belt?

Well I've just started breaking them out again, before I would get one game every 6 months or so in with them so I haven't played a ton with them yet. I don't know if I would say I'm riskier with them or just better at deep striking now. In this game I didn't want them anywhere within 12 inch's of his terminators so it wasn't an issue. In the next one against imperial guard I went with what I consider the safe zone (about 9-10 inch's away). Each terminator squad is worth more points than any unit I had in my daemon army so that makes me a little more cautious with them. The deployment options with the army are amazing though. I don't think I deployed the same way in any of my 5 games.
