Okay, this is frustrating the CRAP out of me. I cannot get my ecksbawcks to recognize my PC. I've tried messing with the IP addresses, (I may have been doing it wrong, someone please explain?). I've been at this for about an hour and a half right now, and I am totally clueless. It is connected with an Ethernet cable to my computer. THe computer recognizes that it is trying to network with something but when I try the test connection thing on the Xbox, it always fails. SOmeone please help. I've searched all over the internet, but I can't find anyone with a problem like this, and when I do find a help discussion on a forum or something, I find out they are talking about wireless connections. I am about to fething slam my xbox through the wall Someone please help. I hope I am just making some stupid mistake and this isn't too complicated...

You sure it's a crossover cable and not a straight through?

I don't connect my 360 and PC but I would assume it would pick up the 360 like a PC. Unless you have something like a hub or switch in between the two.

I've system linked two xboxes with the same cable before. I don't know if that helps anything though.
