ok, I need some help defeating the balrog in wotr using gondor. Should I just ignor him and destroy the rest of his army, or should I try to kill him.
your comments are greatly appreciated.

Borormir/Aragorn. Mighty blow+Epic duel+Epic Strike=punked
Legolas. Cripple shot+Epic shot=
(Rightly so)Gandalf. Light of the valar(burn might to go for the casting on a 6)+Visions of woe+Blinding Light="Sucks to be spirit, doesn't it?"
Knights of Dol Amroth. They need the charge, but they should be able to get some hurt on it.
When in doubt though, charge it instead of letting it charge you(unless you can deny it's "+lots of dice" for being a lighting charging monster). At any rate, you can probably expect to lose some soldiers to it before it dies.

And remember, even though it has wings, it can't fly.

ALways bugged me in the film. WHen the bridge came down Bally should ahve been like "yo, wings d00d" and killed the Fellowship. THe next 2 movies would be about the Balrog wearing the 1 ring and killing stuff.

Dol Amroth Knights are a very good call, especially because they are generally awesome as well!! Legolas would be very useful with his crippling shot, and then a huge character to hold him up in combat, preferably boromir with all of his resilience and might, but thats a general way of going about it. You could also use Aragorn's cool epic journey could always be useful with a large unit of knights? And magic is the final option, you know how it works!

An excuse is that it might not have had room to fly.
However the real defence is: Tolkien did not confirm wings on Balrogs, they wsere surrounded by shadow which became as metaphroric wings. A Balrog is 'only' about twice the height of a man anyway, though you have to remember its a Maiar not a monster so it doesnt need to be big to be powerful.

Best thing to do is to kill his minions first so if he is accompanied by goblins, orcs or anything else kill them then surround the Balrog,a couple of spells ( sorcerous blast, ultimate sorcerous blast so that means use Gandalf the Grey or Gandalf the White) another tactic I've used is use a monstrous creature to "throw stones " e.g Treebeard or Mordor trolls/Isengard Troll then charge with your heroes if this doesn't work mail me

WotR lacks sorcerous blast. The Balrog is extremely hard to kill, which means you've got to get about 15 wounds on the thing, so throwing rocks is less useful than just getting your monster into close combat, though I admit it can't hurt.
Also, thread necromancy.
