Before I even set the topic for this thread I need to thank Dark Lord Seanron for the inspiration and the absolute epicness of his thread about the effects of the Emperors death, I have decided to give fan fic a whirl however instead of creating fluff concerning the Emperors death I want to write fluff for his rebirth. (as the post name would suggest)

I welcome any constructive criticism and comments however find it in your heart to go easy on a first timer, also I am writing this post on my phone so please forgive the odd spelling mistake or grammatical error.

Anyhoo here goes...

For ten thousand years the Emperor of Mankind has lay immobile on his golden throne. For ten thousand years his vision of the Imperium of Man has been eroded from all sides by mutants and xenos and dark gods fed on the corruption of all living things. The Emperor has stood vigil for ten millenia holding his dying imperium together with naught but titanic will and a rotting corpse to call upon for aid. His Politicians have become corrupt, his loyal Astartes have become weakend and his loyal sons are either dead or beyond his reach.

When last he walked the earth as a living immortal he had tried to erradicate the cancer of religion from the collective mind of humanity and thus be free of the crimes committed in its name and begin an age of enlightenment, in this he failed. He had known religion fed the ever hungering gods that he sought to destroy and yet in this he had not seen the one thing religion was intended for; salvation.
Since his entombment in the golden throne humanity has praised him as a god and at first he scorned them for it until slowly and surely he began to realise the truth, they were saving him even as he was saving them.

His spirit had smiled then, realising he was in fact fallible, it had been long since he had felt any semblance of being human let alone happiness. His spirit had done nothing but weep since destroying his favoured son Horus and he had believed he would slowly die along with his beloved humanity. Again he had been wrong.

A human soul is as nothing in the infinite chaos of the warp; barely even a morsel to its dread gods, but together they are strong, so very very strong. Trillions had died in the past ten thousand years of war and most had gone unnoticed and unremembered, but the faithful had become something far greater than the some of their parts, together they would save the saviour.
The trillions of souls faithful to the Emperor had finally reached a sort of critical mass within the warp and combined to form a power that even the four gods had reason to fear and together they had one purpose and nothing could stop them on their divine path.

The eye of terror has ever been known as a place of evil and chaos. It is the place where hell and the real meet and clash and mould together and where nothing is certain except pain and death. However for one moment it was used for a gateway for something far purer. The legions of the emperors faithful dead burst forth into the material universe bearing their dying god's soul aloft on a palenquin of golden light. A tidal wave of pure benevolence swept across the galaxy bringing hope to those awake and visions of rapture to the dreaming. With impossible swiftness they arrived at terra in a wash of purest golden light and the imperial palace glowed from within.

They pass through the walls and wards of the imperial palace like light through a window until they enter the most hallowed place in all of the galaxy, the Emperors throne room. The wave of light halts momentarily, looking on in awe and sorrow at the vision of their god until the cadevous skull opens its eyes and nods his approval. The once rotting corpse absorbs every last soul hungrily as they give themselves willingly to him. And finally he reabsorbs his own soul, finally making himself complete and whole once again. The old bones and pallid flesh become alive with vitality and barely contained might and the once dead rises to life once more. Stretching the body he had not inhabited for millenia the Emperor smiled, the time of ending had begun and he would see the dark gods and xenos dead for their crimes against humanity.

To win this war in hell he would need generals at his side, it was time for more ressurections and a time for one last crusade...

And so you start your Fiction career tackling the most sensitive subject, ambitious my friend. Their are some good themes here so far, but if i were you i wouldnt take it any further. I found that though my 2nd/11th Primarch story got a fair few views it was only once i started my guardsmen story that the readers started commenting. You obviously have skill in writing and picking good themes so try something a bit less grand.

Thanks dude, im a SW player and would love to write something about them such as The return of Russ but im sure id have much the same problem and given the general hatred for all things wolfy i worry it would devolve into me simply defending them as opposed to writing about them.

As i said thanks for the suggestion dude, ill give this a couple of days and if i dont get a good response ill try something different, whats your post called? ill give it a read.

Wow was it the writing or my SW liking that silenced the people viewing this? Lol I guess this is a no go area after all, thanks for reading anyway.

It was pretty good i guess, but not only is it a really touchy subject but the story doesnt go anywhere it seems unfinished.
Not to mention it doesnt really capture the imagination or tantalize it, if you dig what I mean ? also would you think a reborn emperor would smoke cigars ?.
