Alright guys, so this is my first painted model ever. Be kind, it was my tester for my color scheme.

The eye should be red, I messed up and only did the other side. Comments and critique appreciated!

If that really is your first, props to you. I mean just painting inside the lines puts you way ahead of most beginners. That looks fantastic.

Here's my first 5 actual table models. Took me about an hour for them.

Edit: Looks like I need to go back over the devlan mud wash on some of the feet. While I realize no one is going to examine gaunts super close in the face of my Hive Tyrant, but still, that's a very noticeable flaw.

Here's my new idea...

So running with my rather swampy color scheme, I decided to do something a little different with my shrikes. I didn't really want to put wings on them, so I thought about other ways to represent jump infantry.

Then it hit me: jump.

Jump.

Frogs jump, right?

So without further ado, part 1 of my frog shrike conversion.

Needs a little more work. The throat/tongue look great (could use a little more detail in the actual mouth area), but the legs really need work. Great start though.

Like the Frog. Plus your Gaunts look Brill for someone new to the hobby (Though i have a suspicion you are a bit older than some beginners ). The frogs tongue is my only problem, i know Frog tongues are all blobby in real life it just doesn't look good model wise, i would suggest remodelling the tongue.
