Evening all. I just wanted to get some CC on these two lists. I've been running the 5. SS lists since I got back into FoW last year. While I am quite happy with the list, it always pays to have some more eyes on it. As for the lovely Canadians, I was pretty set on the list I've got. However, some of my gaming group friends have given me some new ideas to try. Anyhoo, take look and tell me what you think.

I don't play Germans, so I'll leave that to someone else, but I do play Brits.

Your list is going to be in big trouble against any kind of armour army. 6 pdrs in late war are a little bit too lightweight, and you only have 1 17 pdr in the firefly.

Priority typhoons are nice, but you can't rely on them to show up.

Drop the HMGs unless you are up against Soviet or US infantry.

Drop 1 mortar section. You only need 2, and they're for smoke anyway.

I have the 4 x 17lbrs, which is why I am still thinking about dropping the 6lbrs.

Umm? What mortars .

The HMG I usually attach to Capt. Trevlan. The main armies I've been facing have been the Soviet Sapper Battalion, 78. Sturm Div and the 6. FJ. They are great for pinning down Inf. (So far....)

As far your list goes the German's its a bit light in terms of platoons. that can really hurt in some of the mission's..well actually all of them except #1. I have been using the Panzer Lehr list for earth and steel. The panthers are great but too much money and you have very little support for them. I would not always go for the Mech infantry as Half tracks can go against you. also your infantry squads are small and not a lot of anti-armor. this has been problematic to me in the past. your AA half tracks are a good support option and I love the 88's.
I run 3 / 3 Panzer IV's and Jagdpanzer IV's. I also took some Puma's which really pay off in the game.
