Little to nothing is known about it, but it is in development by Eidos-Montreal and is being published by Square Enix. It's been a while in the making, rumored back in 2008 and unveiled in 2009.

I never knew about it until the other day, when the Thief class was revealed for GW2 and I wanted Garrett as my Thiefs name

For those of you who don't know what Thief is, it's the game that most stealth games owe their lives to. You play as Garrett, Master Thief extraordinare, who is a pansy in a fight but is fully capable of stealing your pants off of your legs in a very religious/steampunkish setting.

So.... Thi4f is being made by Square?

Though it's not being made by Square, it's being published by Square.
