Subject: Miniatures to use as Dregs in Mordheim.

Hello,
I'm looking to build an Undead Warband for Mordheim but I'm struggling to find any miniatures to use as Dregs so I'm after suggestions.
I would quite happily just buy the warband from GW but:
1. I only need Dreg miniatures.
2. I'm not too keen on the official miniatures.
3. I need three of them.
Any ideas?

Seems like everyone else is as stumped as I am.
Time for a different idea. I figured that Dregs don't have to be hunchbacks etc, perhaps they could be injured people that have been abandoned because the extent of their injuries have reduced their abilities and they've become a burden (Would tie into their poor stats fluffwise too).
So does anyone know of any fantasy/medieval human miniatures sporting an injury?
The best example I can find is the top left miniature in this picture:

I've got two suggestion for you.
The first is a box of Mantic - Undead Ghoul Troops or Undead Revenant Troops
The second is any of the following Malifaux Models.
or the Mindless Zombies or Crooked Men.
Hope this helps, sorry I couldn't find more pictures to link.

Ooo thanks Catyrpelius.
Good call on the Mantic Ghouls, with the right paint job they could pass as human. I've found 10 for £8 on Ebay too, gotta be worth a shot.
I do like the Malifaux range, my only reservation being that they'd make the rest of the my warband look poor by comparison (the rest being undead models from the early 90's, metal zombies FTW!).
I've managed to find a few other models that I'm also tempted with.
Hunchback for the classic minion look.
I like the emaciated look and the rags.
Would vampires harbour a fat murderer? I reckon so. Only concern is the 40mm base.
Another hunchback.
Covered in rags.
What could be more perfect for a dreg than a gravedigger?

There are alot of great model ranges out there. The Mantic Ghoulss are going to be your cheapest option, but they are models that I love to hate.
I would also recommend the Reaper range as well as recommending that you head over to cool mini or not and check out their stuff as well.

If you have a couple of sprues of zombies, skaven, and humans, you can use the skaven torsos, the human legs, and the zombie heads and come up with some great looking dregs. Another one would be to use the flagellent bodies, the zombie heads, and the zombie arms for somwe good looking ones. weapons options work from any range, I guess. Nothings too good for the dregs, you know. PLUS, you'd have extra bits for zombies to add to the warband.

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money. |
