Hey guys,
I've been wanting to do this model for a while. This was an amazingly quick model to paint (about 4 or 5 hours) and I'm really happy with how he turned out. I may go back and work on the checks a little more, as well as play around with inks on the metallics, but for now, he's done!

I really think the blues of the Crimson Fists banners adds not only some needed color, but some humor to the piece as well.
Thoughts and comments are appreciated!

Granesh

Might just be the flash on your camera (remember, Flash on Gitz is good-ish, flash on cameras are bad) but he looks a little washed out.

The wrench and skin especially, since they should be what really pops on the model.

Other than that, pretty cool. Like the idea of using a SM chapter banner pattern on the sachel.

Don't worry, there's no flash. Its me trying to get my crappy lighting stuff to work and illuminate everything. I am glad you like the SM banner though, it came to me about halfway through the piece.
Anyways, here's a better picture:

I went for really subdued tones on most of the model. The Ork's skin is supposed to be fairly dark, as is the clothes.

Huh. could'a sworn the wrench was red. Well, that's what you get from a color-deficient guy and a pale picture.

(Color Deficiency- sorta like mild colorblindness to certain colors)

Yeah, I'll get some more pictures up today with some natural daylight and some other angles. As I said, there was no flash on that first picture, just too much direct lighting from my lamp.
@Jordankeeps: Thanks! I'm really happy with the darker skin for the Mek, makes him look older and more venerable.

Don't worry if you've overlit. You can adjust the levels when you come to edit the picture. Lighting is important, but so is economics.
