Havent played 40k in half a year, looking to get back into the hobby. Sadly my local hobby store closed so i have no way to get back into playing. Unless anyone in the Brandon FL area knows any places where you can play.

I too live in Brandon, and find that's it's worth the drive to go to Anthem Games: http://www.anthem-games.com/

It's a great, friendly store, and we've got an escalation league going on right now (check their forums) that's geared towards friendly and introductory play, as opposed to being highly competitive.

Another store that's good is Dark Side games in Sarasota:
http://www.darksidecomics.com/

This place is a bit further away, but it's a really large store, and also very friendly.

You could also try your luck at Armada Games, but the crowd there is very clique-ish and unfriendly. I stopped playing there due to the player base being unfriendly to outsiders.

Trust me, no matter what damage they have the potential to do, single-shot weapons always flatter to deceive in 40k.                                                                                                       Rule #1

Wow, I'm sorry to hear that about Armada! I don't go there regularly anymore (I'm more involved in raising a miniature person than miniatures) but I learned 40k in Armada and always found them to be a great group. They used to hold free escalation leagues and tournaments (which were not free) once a month, but their website hasn't listed any since the new year. The last time I was there was November, so I don't know if they've discontinued this or just stopped posting it on the web.

My experiences were always good there- my main problem was finding a game during the week, but my availability has always been extremely sporadic.

If you're really hard up for a some Warhammer 40k you can drive to Broward and play in the apocalypse Tournament at Tate's Gaming this coming Sunday.

There is some good gaming going on over in the east coast here in Melbourne.

I might actually go to this event at Tate's......

Well, west melbourne to be exact lol.

Yeah bro, if you ever do move here, there is a wonderful 40k scene here. Mainly casual players. We do campaigns and such mostly. There some 20+ 40k players in the area that frequent the local gaming store here.

You live in Brevard? What store do you play at?

The Wizard's Wall, exclusively.

There is another one in the area that I am going to start to look into as well.

I just moved to Vero Beach and am in dire need of some wargaming. Since I drive a scooter I rely on my girlfriend to travel long distances. I could convince her to drive 30-45 mins for some casual gaming once every week or two, but to get her to drive any further it'd have to be a scheduled event, preferably a tournament.

No, of course not. That's just illustrative. The answer to your question is FIVE TONS OF FLAX.
