Anyone pick this up yet? I enjoy all the Total Wars. Gamespot gives Shogun II a 9.0/editor's choice review.

I have gots it, and I must say it doesn't dissapoint. It has new visuals, new smarter ai (yes they can launch a fleet with an army on board and then slaughter your rear line towns by landing them where they can.)
Less unit variety, but that means its now down to the skills of the player more than knowing every unit's strengths and weaknesses.
I just finished a short campaign today on normal difficulty, it wasa decent enough challange. This was after I gave up 4 seperate campaigns on Very hard difficulty, and that's not the highest difficulty. Legendary is something you can only have nightmares about.
Any questions fire away

I heard it was good, a bit closer to Kingdoms than Empire, at least with AI anyway.

Last time I heard about this was when Shogun 1 came out...it looks...decent.
I may try a demo if that's available in the future...still got mini's to paint :-(

This is a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

The only downside at the moment is multiplayer is rather bug ridden, but these have been noted already and are bieng addressed already. So with a few patch releases multiplayer will be back on form.
