A local mordheim league is starting up. Just currious, Dwarf or drunken Ostlanders for the more fun list? Ostland seems fun and crazy at first, but their rules may maske them annoying in the long run, and the dwarf list is slow and vulnerable to slayer death early on...

so which sounds more fun? the group is saturated with undead, ork and skaven warbands...

extra question: once the game is under way, can any hero buy and use any weapon they find? for example could a dwarf use a blunder bust even tho its not in the thunderer equipment list?

Dwarves are a very effective army. Can't speak for ostlanders though.

Once the game is under way, a hero can buy and use any weapon they find, provided they
a) have gained the weapons training and/or weapons expert skill through leveling up,
b) could have started with at least the basic version of the weapon upon purchase (see your warband's equipment roster)

so, your dwarf would need to gain weapons expert to equip the blunderbuss. you can still carry the item in your warband's inventory though, so i would advise rolling for rares every chance you get just to see if they pop up. you can always buy them and throw them to a guy later once they grab the appropriate skill.

I think the Ostander Mercs are pretty good, their Taal Priests are pretty awesome. But they cannot have Hired Blades aside from Ogres.

As for Dwarf Treasure Hunters they are pretty awesome especially if you go ranged and field a Dwarf Engineers, but I've seen some deadly melee dwarf armies.
