IM wondering ? it might be out there , but if not they need to make it a computer program that keeps track and organizes your campaign . lets use 40k for an example . my imperial guard wants to attack this part of the map occupied by enemy orks in this area " click" the computer generates the mission . any random special rules or weather conditions . after the battle you enter your games results . the computer keeps track of what units died , what experiance was gained . it keeps track of supplies you need and any thing else "campaigny " and attrition based this would awesome . does this exist and if does . please point me in the right direction . if not some one needs to make it .

I thought Wolflair was working on something like this, but it might be more for tournaments.

I was doing something similar-ish for a DP9 project, but I had problems due to, among other things, my limited programming abilities.

Working on someting you'll either love or hate. Hopefully to be revealed by November.
Play the games that make you happy.

yeah i know pen in paper . but people use army builder and other programs to shave time off army building so why cant a computer program help run and keep track of a more detailed campaign that would be harder to do on your own . and faster to .

Probably work

It's really the classic issue: It would either be too preset to actually fit everything outside of a very specific campaign type with limited ability for customization, or it would require so much prep work at the computer than it would take more time than it would save to implement it all for your specific campaign.

To use an analogy: You mentioned Army Builder. Army Builder is awesome because the armies you have datafiles for seldom change but for once every several years. Your campaign and my campaign would differ wildly because you want environmental effects, and I want to have the ability to expend resources to fortify an area. I don't care about your feature and you don't about mine, yet this system has to be powerful enough to incorporate both options, along with whatever scripting necessary to apply the impact of those additions to the rest of the campaign. Imagine each group that wants to use it having to write something with the complexity of an army in AB for each individual campaign they want to run.

Its hard to get the hang of, and a clunky, but really good. The days of standard missions are over with that.
