Hey folks! So me and a few friends have been playing 40k for bout 2-3yrs, started out 6 strong, and now are at about 3-4 people, we are looking for a few laid backed players who wouldnt mind just chilling and play casually. We have a local Comic store near by in Ft Worth we go to and also play friend matches, but overall we just are looking for someone who would justbe able to play bout once a week, maybe more, depending on how busy each and everyone is, please let me kno if interested.

Im very interested. I live in Mansfield TX, I recently ventured out to Y2K Komics to check it out one morning, but it was closed. Do you guys ever go into arlington? There is a pretty good store called Lone Star Comics. Anyway, im definately interested in meeting more players and playing some games.

Currently, im playing Blood Angels, but in the process of assembling 3 more army's. Check out my gallery for photos (if your interested).

@TheWildHost -- hey if your interested in playing and dont want to go to ft worth, I am definately interested in playing somewhere closer. I sometimes bring my army to the GW at the Grapvine Mills mall to play, perhaps we could meet there.

Just so both of you know, I have collected and painted for years, but only started playing about 4 months ago and only have a handful of games under my belt :(

yeah I play at Y2komics all the time, me and my friends have been collecting for a while and we're just getting into the gaming part. the fourth saturday of the month some guys play up there, but I was looking for a little more practice than that. I've got 1850 of chaos, my friend has about 1300 of tau, my girlfriend has around 1850 of nids, and another friend has around 1300 in orks.

send me a pm sometime and we'll get a game together.

Sounds awesome. I have been to GenX, its over in bedford. Im glad to hear that 40k is a focal point at Y2 Komics. Myself, as you can see under my post, im closing in on 4k points of Blood Angels. I have important exams coming up in college around the 15th. Actually the 15th and 16th is a friday and saturday, im sure I can sneek away from the wife to play a few games. As soon as I have finished taking them though, Im going to be looking for a game. I wouldnt mind meeting at Y2 Komics, GenX, or Lone Star. The more people the better too. I am very interested in playing against something other than SM, that has been my only opponent thus far. Lets definately get something setup though!

You guys should go to Area 51 up in grapevine. Y2K and Lonestar burned a lot of bridges over the years so most players in the area avoid those 2 stores like the plague

Ive heard this is where most of the action is. I have never been, infact, I dont know where it is (though im sure google could help me with that). Typically the furthest out I venture is to GW at Grapvine is it around that area?

--I know what you mean about burning bridges too. When I first moved here Lone star Comics didnt even carry/support GW products. So I approached them about it and they basically indirectly bashed me for even playing the game and tried to convince me to play some crappy game they were touting. Just for those antics it would be 2 years before I stepped foot into a lone star store again.

I would if I could, but that would cost me roughly $60 in gas just to go there and back, and with my imaginary money, that might be a bit of a problem. I would love to come to those big stores that actually carry a lot of GW stuff, but i just can't make it, maybe when I get me a job again I can every once and a while.

Yeah i heard Area 51 was nice, but i have the same problem, it would cost a little too much, its just alot cheaper to play here at Y2k, the guy doesnt mind that we go whenever and just set up and play

How many gaming tables do they have out at Y2K? Do they also have scenery you can use?

I hit up Y2K and Lone Star but never see anyone playing 40k or Fantasy. Me and my friends usually hit up the Denton GW but are looking for some variety of play.

I play at Lone Star off of Cooper st. havent been there in about a month now but before that I was playing about every two weeks up there. If you ever want to meet up there for a game with your friends let me know. It would be fun to have a multi-player battle.

--As for everyone else who wanted to meet up for a game at Y2K or Lone Star, my tests are finally over for so I am free this week and weekend (at least as far as im concerned!). Lets set up a time to hang out and play some games, im eager to play a game or two. Hope nobody minds that I am still a relative newb to the rules, but I have played enough to get the jist of everything. Im only hazy on rules like ramming vehicles and things like that.

Well Y2k is having a big group playing on the 23rd this month. If we get alot, we might end up doing some 2v2s or just a bunch of 1v1s.

I play at the Lone Star Comics in Arlington on Copper St. (next to UTA). I am usually there around 3pm on Saturday. I only have about 500pts of units though. So, more people would be good for some 2v2 or something. Last weekend, there was 4 of us playing (2v2) and a game of Fantasy.

Agreed, the Lone Star on Hulen wants to do tourneys but the way they want to run it shooty armies would not stand a chance. It would be nice to play people closer to us.
