Nice. I like the red on the Sisters. And the 'sentinel' conversion is pretty keen.

Very nice! Your painting style looks like you paint with inks, is this correct?

A recipe for that yellow would be great please!

Nope, just regular paints thinned a lot on a wet pallette. Cheapo paints to be honest too!

The yellow is;

True Ochre, Chestnut wash, yellow highlight, then 50/50 yellow/white highlight.

I like 'em. The sentinel is awesome and the colour scheme of the army as a whlole is really good.

Since I own an army based in snow (Valhallans), I can safely say that I appreciate the extra work you put into the snow theme.

I really like the Predator sponsons on the Chimeras (they look MUCH better than the stock turrets), the white Callidus, and of course, the snowman.

Great looking army, great theme, great touches on your tournament board.

You'd likely be in my top 3 player's choice votes and would get full points on painting if you played me.

Very nice look.  The scheme is striking.  You take a more "fine arts" apporach to your painting, meaning that the overall look is fantastic, while each little detail is not as refined as from the "minature painter" crowd.  I grow more fond of this approach with time.  Thanks for sharing.

Just noticed the tapestry on the side of one of the chimerae. Very, very nice and 'arty' as someone said.

Nice work! What are those lascannon treads from? Epic land raiders? I need to find some nice treads for my servitors.

Beautiful! That Sentinal almost makes me wish I could take back what I said about it in the army list thread.

I notice you have a schematic for the Exorcist with LEDs. Does the Exorcist light up anywhere?

Ironically, they do. So do cheats.

Thanks! I just realized that I forgot to mention the fluff, which makes the tapestries and the obnoxious red armor over the practical cammo scheme make sense.

Essentially, the Mission is being attacked, and the inducted guard is told that they will "wear this armor, because now you represent the Emperor, and the Emperor does not abide fear. There will be no hiding when you represent the Inquisition!"

Yes, they are the old Epic Land Raiders. Filed off extra bits, and added the comm bit at the back. Once the inspiration hit, it was easy and obvious.

Beautiful! That Sentinal almost makes me wish I could take back what I said about it in the army list thread.
Yeah, actually that is the next model to be completed, another of the sentinels for 1850. They look just too cool IMO. BTW, I stole the idea completely from Mark Bedfords model in WD 309. It's been hit and miss for it's effectiveness (hmmm, BS 3, maybe 50/50 !?!? ) but the bonus of the look to the army is worth it.

BTW, I really appreciate the comments on my army list, and any others would be hugely appreciated.  Hereis the link.

I notice you have a schematic for the Exorcist with LEDs. Does the Exorcist light up anywhere?

Yes, and it's kindof a sad story too. ALL the tanks have headlights which light up. The exorcist USED to have working candles too.

In the 2nd game I played with it, it fell over off the table. I caught it, but still busted one of the bulbs. Since the wiring is snaking through the metal of the side-walls of the organists podium, it's unreasonable to fix them. So, I shoved a piece of wire to make the connection into the broken bulb and puttied over a burned out wick. What I forgot to do though was increase the resistor for that circuit, and so I over-drove the bulb and burned it out.

Anyway, there's one picture which has all the headlights turned on. The Exorcist (being of different design) has obnoxiously bright yellow LED's, and the IG vehicles have white incandecent bulbs. The headlights were ad-ons for the IG vehicles, and located on the front of the track guards.

thats army looks really cool, i like the idea of putting the tapastries on the side of the tanks. i also think mounting the heavy weapons on old epic landraiders is a class idea. i may give it a go myself

I can't say anything constructive. It's already too good.
