Team Sweden sends our Thanks for a great tournament !

We found Adepticon 2011 to be filled with great players, both skilled and friendly.

We want to send out some special thanks to the organizers who impressed us greatly, Adepticon 2011 was one of the best arranged events we have ever participated in.
We also want to send a shout out to all the great guys we played and hung out with, Thank you all for making this tournament a testament to American hospitality and skill in Warhammer 40k.

We all hope to make it back for 2012 and this time bring even more Crazy Swedes with us.

"Da Boys",Shaun, Greg, Brad, Ragnar, Hank and all you other guys whos name I was to drunk to remember now, Thank you all for a great time.

Richard! Let me now publicly congratulate you on your excellent performance and representation for the land of my forefathers. 9th in the Team Tourney and Best Sportsmen, plus Henrik qualifying for the Championship Final was pretty epic, especially for a first appearance. Well done.

It was absolutely awesome that you guys came over, and total fun hanging out and drinking with you afterward. I was extremely happy to luck into hosting the "I just got knocked out of the poker tournament" drinking table in the hall, then help facilitate the move on to Hank's birthday party upstairs. It was SUCH a good time. My only regret is not getting that game with Daniel, but it will happen! I already posted on svenska40k.se as well.

I was able to interview Henrik for the final 16 (as part of our video coverage) and I found him to be a very friendly and funny guy. You guys were a lot of laughs when I was threatening to steal Henriks Ultramarines army as well =D

Hope to see you guys next year!

While we did not get the chance to play, Shaun was nice enough to introduce me to all of you. I am glad we got a chance to meet and I am glad you enjoyed Adepticon.

Hey guys,

Daniel from Team Sweden here.

I would like to extend my tribute to the staff, man, you guys rocked it. This was without a doubt the best arranged smoothest tournament, and to increase the awe, the biggest tournament I have participated. Amazing!!

Da Boys - Thanks for the funniest game of 40K ever, it was amazing singing, chanting "captain morgan", multiple charging... I hope we beat you next year as well.

Sparks, Da Boys, Paul, Hank, Ragnar, Mattias, Brad - Whom ever I have lost the name of, thanks for the pleasure of kicking it back with you guys, drinking beer, eating some kick ass food and chillin it like Bob Dylan.

In general there were alot of very nice people and unfortunatly there where equally many impressions, so if I have forgotten anyone, I would like to extend my thanks to you too, for making adepticon 2011 the best event I have ever participated.

I would like to say to all the guys I meet in the single (I was the swede with a double stormraven list) - Thank you (except for Brad, grudge match anyday soon??)
All you amazing opponents in the team tournament, thank you for some really fun games and amazing moments and entertaining hours.

I think I talk for everyone in the current team but also many other swedes from our community, Team Sweden will definatly come back next year but probably in a larger scale!!

On a side not - Chicago is a very cool city, I am already looking forward to the next adepticon, next time I visit Chicago and formost to the ETC - where I'll meet some of yoou guys again in a near future.

Ragnar - Grudge game thursday before adepticon is on, I'll bring the beer and my army case..
Hank - Hope your son enjoyed the terminator, you really seem to have a great family!

Best wishes to you all and I hope to meet you all again soon, on either American or European soil!

Best regards

Daniel Hesselberg

Daniel! Grudge match is confirmed! You will live to regret saying that Chaos Space Marines is the worst codex and you would table me in a half hour. You have one year to prepare your excuses.

Well had a ton of great memories from this years AdeptiCon. But absolutely, Team Sweden a highlight of AdeptiCon 2011 for me as well.

Watching Ragnar and Daniel at 3 am in the morning attempting to sort out some ancient grudge match was priceless. Maybe your ancestors had this same argument over some sheep instead of 40K in some great hall of old. How did it come to pass Ragnars family left in the first place? Course it was all in good jest but entertaining to say the least.

Yes, Daniel that terminator now has a place of honor on my sons “army display” and is all he’s been talking about since. Definitely made his weekend and thanks for taking time to humor my sons who as I am sure you noticed have a great interest in 40K and in particular Blood Angels.

Congrats on the great showing gentlemen and look forward to your return.

TEAM SWEDEN! You were our team's favorite opponents at the Team Tournament! We have been retelling the epic tale of our first game against you and people have been having a blast. I'm Skarvald the Troll-faced ((Vlad)imir)), the Bulgarian from team Razorback Spam.. You know.. the team that had no Razorbacks but tons of Thunderwolves? Man, it's awesome that I managed to get a hold of you, guys! I think I played Henrik and Richard.

I'll be writing a battle report for our match today, so if you guys could stop by and maybe comment, reflect.. that would be VERY appreciated. We seriously had tons of fun and it was definitely THE highlight of Adepticon for me. We'll see you guys next year, right? Also, thanks for letting me drink with you guys even though I was like 25 days away from being able to legally do so. Hahaha.. So yeah, stop by http://wolvesforthewolfgod.blogspot.com/!

Oh, and we know that you took a picture of us as a team so if we could get that from you, that would be fantastic!

Man, we didn't do too well. Second game we scored maximum points both games and then third game we got Sons of Scotty (who finished 10th) and they crushed us pretty bad. We were pretty sure one of the coalitions was using fixed dice, but that's another story. XD Fourth game we won on both sides. We did pretty well for never practicing! 48th. Next year we are bringing something mean!
