Ignore the damn dates. I hated that camera back then, could never set it right. anywho, This is/was My chaos lord, Not my best piece, but at the time I loved it. I allways wanted to do a Pre-lord, lord and lord-turned-DP based on this character idea. I drew him originally. I'll have to post the picture eventually. working on converting the new plastic DP into a monster version of this lord. but yeah, he is flying, never finished the base, it's all sand and a dead/dieing top half of a marine. Oh, and the blue on eyes and sword is glow in the dark paint

did this guy at the same time as the lord, liked him, not perfect and missed alot of spots, but it was my first model with flesh, also glow in the dark on green of sword, and some of the blue markings

And here is my REALLY OLD Khorne lord. the grey on the face is from wear and the upper legs and cloth are made of GS.

I must say that I like the concept that you have in mind. I had a similar idea myself, just never got around to doing it. As far as your models go, well... it kinda looks like you were using a too large brush for detail work.
I definitely recommend a fine detail brush for the enormous amount of trim and details on the DP model. Also a large flat brush for drybrushing. You could do the reccesses with the fine detail brush, and then then go over the top of the ridges with the drybrush. Do you have any more recent ones done? I'd like to see some of your other work to compare them to. Interesting paint schemes all around though, just needs cleaned up a little is all.

plenty of recent stuff, but no pictures. like I said, these are rather old. back then all I had was about 15 paints, no washes and a single walmart brush.. lol.

Considering the lack of supplies, not bad. I take it that things have gotten betters since then?

Oh yeah, by far i think i'm running 12 different brushes, btw dont ever use a fan brush for drybrushing. i have yet to find a purpose for the fan, maybe it will work on a vehicle. and an entire beer flat of paints/washes. I will see if I have any of my newer models handy, If not, I will paint one
