Hi all!
I've decided to get my first proper space marine army. Raven guard has always been one of my favorite chapters and they also happen to have one of the coolest models in the form of the Forge World Shadow captain. The motivation for this army is to practice weathering, so thre'll be lots of dirt and grime to break the B&W colourscheme.
So here is my first assault squad, still lacking markings as I'll use the FW decals.
The sarge and his mate:
Other three from behind:
In near future they'll grow to small army with the contents of the battle force, and after that it'll be more special units like sternguard, thubderfire cannon and dreadnoughts. The army will be painted as a part of a campaign, but more of that later.
Comments are welcome.

Is it me? The pictures are not showing up????
Anyway, I saw mention of using the FW decals and I must say they are some of the best decals I’ve used. I bought the new Black Templar decals and love them…..

The web host I'm using has some problems sometimes. The pictures should appear at some point.
Thanks for the feedback. The thing with weathering the white is that it goes over the top very easily. But I guess practice makes it perfect. Overall the paint scheme is quick and easy to do. The highlights are very subtle and there aren't too many colours, so it's quick. And about the easiness, I painted these models while recovering from a broken collar bone and I have my right arm in a sling, so when I get my hand fully operative they'll get an army around them very quickly (hopefully).
Rhich: Nice to hear that the decals are good. Haven't really used decals since I began to play 40k 10 years ago, so it'll be interestig.

The bases are fantastic and I think the way you've avoided the 'wall of black' on the armour is eminently pilfer-worthy.
Top work!
