Combat Jumping Garuda






I've got a bunch of ships from other spaceship combat games and wondering if there is a handy builder for making these into some BFG fleets.
Not looking for min/maxing, just more curious so I can form a basis of design.

Well, the most well-known one I know of is the Smotherman formula (named after the creator). You can find it via Google easily enough. The important thing to keep in mind is that this formula will only give you an approximation of a points cost. BFG ship costs were assigned through play testing and/or designer's intent, so there is no way to perfectly "back-solve" their construction.

Use smotherman to determine a basic value. Then do some cross reference to standard ships like Imperial Navy & Chaos. Then fine tune with playtesting.
