So, I've lately been interested in the feudal Japan era, samurai, ninja, etc. Long story short - I found out there's a minis game involving that era. Legend of the Five Rings (L5R).
However, maybe I'm just a terrible online researcher, but I can't find any information on how to obtain the minis. I see a few sites that show them painted as just part of someone's work. But I go to the official L5R site's store and it's like no products exist. But I believe this is still a currently updated game. Is it just the card/RPG game that's current? As it appears there's multiple ways to play L5R...
Thanks to anyone who has any info. =D
And I hope this is in the right forum. Not sure if it's historical or fantasy, as I was told there are some fantasy/magic aspects to L5R, but couldnt find any thread regarding the game, so I'll start here!

I've only known L5R to be an RPG and a card game. From all the comments that came up on google it appears that the minis are just for the RPG. If you're still interested in them it appears that they started reissuing them last year. No game to go with it but I'm sure that you could derive your own using the RPG system.
Here's the link for the minis: http://www.veltd.net/28mmclanwar.htm
Oh, and holy crap, you live in Sacramento as well. Small world!

I believe support for Clan Wars is pretty dead. I have three clan war armies, goblin, lion and crab these were all obtained about 7 years ago. There are still figs made but they are not sold in bulk anymore to build armies.
It is too bad as it was a good thinking game with strategy cards and movement rules that made sense. ( i.e. not Warhammer)

hmm...thanks for the info guys. I'll definitely consider looking more in to Clan Wars, then, I suppose.
Thanks for that link, those models actually look really cool and apparently fairly cheap... If Clan Wars doesn't work out, I may just get a whole bunch for display.
And yeah, I live in Sacramento (downtown) =D You play at GE or A1 or anywhere?
