I live in Llanfairpwll on the isle of Anglesey and I was wondering if there was anything even remotely local to me for games of 40k/WHFB or Warmachine/Hordes.

I know there is a GW in Chester and the "North West Gamging Centre" but I was wondering if there was anything a bit closer!

Theres a gameing club started in Hawarden, but thats only about ten minutes closer than Chester. It's called Flintshire Fanatics, meet on a Wednesday night in Hawarden Youth Centre, Grooms croft lane, CH5 3EL. We play mostly 40k, but theres blood bowl warmachine, and I'm sure most people have something different aswell.

There's Acme games in Llandudno. Open to all sorts of gaming shenanigans. There is a healthy amount of 40k gamers of all ages, you should be able to turn up at any time and get a pick up game going. Warmahordes is just taking off in the store with a couple of guys so it will be better to arrange those games.

The shop will be moving (down the road by about 300m) in the near future where it will be open most nights late for game nights. Current schedule is 40k on a Monday night and MTG on a Friday. Once it moves I think Thursday will be non-40k wargaming. Saturdays tend to belong to the younger players

Ahhh, I might have to check Acme out.

In the process of building up something with 40k/whfb/WM so it would be nice do go down then, would probably go mostly during the week since being with an older crowd would be preferable!!

You are also more than welcome to join in with BWRPS, Bangor Uni's roleplaying and wargaming society - it's open to non-students and we're a friendly, active bunch, who meet Wednesday evenings and Sunday afternoons during term time.

I also live locally, so if you ever fancy some Dakka, we're around, .

I know where the Uni is, but had no idea there was a roleplaying night etc.

Where is it in the Uni?..Is there an fee for attendance or anything like that?

It's in Drama Rehearsal Room at the minute, but may move next year.

For non-students I believe it's £3 to join the Student Union per year and £3 for the club itself, or something in that region (but again, that's per year, and is primarily to cover insurance ).

Just a quick update. Mondays are locked in for 40k, Fridays is FNM for magic and Thursdays will be for other tabletop games. The more the merrier
