So my first painting blog on dakkadakka........

I've been painting and playing my Iron Hands for about 3 years, though they haven't seen the tabletop in about 8 months. The fluff was still as interesting as ever, though the paint scheme, black, just didn't feel right anymore. The result, my iron hands collected dust for some time.

Last year I got an airbrush for my birthday. I am also an Imperial Guard player so the plan was to start painting my guard with it. But to practice I started with an old landspeeder I got of ebay some time earlier. I painted it red with grey. It stood in my cabinet for some time until January when my eye caught it again. Now my Iron Hands are at about a 1000 points again in red and black, with grey red vehicles.

Next up are an Iron Father dreadnought

And some th ss terminators

No comments on my marines, then lets try something differt.

Imperial guard:

I've had this macharius sitting in my cabinet for almost 2 years now. Last year I did the camo and the commisar (before I got an airbrush). In a furry of painting I finished it last week:

I tried some of the stuff from the IA modeling book. Some things came out better then others.

So I felt like painting more guard. I did some work on a new ccs some time ago. Wasn't to happy with the commanders sword and after reading MajorTom11's grey knight tutorial wanted to try someting new:

Didn't turn out to bad, still need to practice some more.
Also needed 2 more plasma guns.

And together with their buddies.

Last a new camo pattern I wanted to try out on their chimera.

Reletively happy with this. still need to clean it up a bit thought.

So any comments, tips or critecism is welkome.

The collar conversions look good. The hammernators are suitably scary. I'm not so fond of the biggerized chimera, though. Nor the hood on the kasrkin sergeant, it's too thick.

The Polito form is dead, insect. Are you afraid? What is it you fear? The end of your trivial existence?
When the history of my glory is written, your species shall only be a footnote to my magnificence.
