Looks good, the highlights help it not look like primer which is probably the hardest part of going plain white or black.

It's the Klaus Kinski head again!

Very good for a first go at black armour, it looks nice and clean and the highlights aren't overpowering.

wow, thanks guys. not sure what a "Klaus Kinski head" is though and Jordan for the seals themselves i used Macherite red as a base and did a light drybrush of blood red on top of that, for the parchment portion it's bleached bone, with thin lines of black for the writing, then a wash od devlan mud. that simple! hope that helps!

Are you by any chance going to darken the crevice between the red tear drop and the yellow?

That's nicely done, highlighting black is always difficult without it becoming too grey.

Not sure which sprue it comes on but the head you've used al;ways reminds of Klaus Kinski who's been in various Werner Herzog films.

In short, this guy:

Definitely needs a nice light colored base to round out the look of the model

Looks good, as other posters have said the black and the guys face look fantastic. Your gems need a little bit of work though, imo they are too bland.

Fantastic brush control, your lines are very even with the edging. The mini look great, good job!

If you are done with it that is great, the model is at a good standard! If you want some CC, someone already posted the gems may need some attention. Other than the gems, the black may A friend showed me a trick he uses when painting black, and It has made my mini's "pop" better. On the areas that you would naturally highlight the armor, I now take a "near black" mix and highlight with it then pick out the edges with gray as you did. It is hard for the eye to see it from a distance, it creates an illusion of the highlight, being seen may not register to the viewer. If you are already doing this tactic I am unable to notice in the pictures.
