Cut off the blade end and replace with a hammer head from sprue bits?

Or tubing of some kind, with GS or plasticard ends.

I used a couple of muzzles from some ork sluggas, greenstuff and a couple of =I= sigils from the Inquisitor range for one on mine.

Buy any sort of thunder hammer, cut off the end of a halberd, put the hammer head on?

Sprue is your obvious choice there.
You are a gamer, therefore you have some already.

The thicker stuff from vehicle kits.

Toothpicks for the shaft.

THREADOMANCY

I have been wondering about this since 2011, I hope this helps everyone else on google.

1) make a green stuff mold
a) use plasticard to give it sharp edges on the non detailed facings

2) cast it

3) drill a small whole and put the shaft of the plastic halberd through it. (this will make it stronger than simply gluing it on the top)

Generally thread necromancy is okay in P&M threads where you're adding something useful to a topic which is still relevant today.

Thread necromancy is problem more in threads where the information is topical and may have become outdated, like tactics or army lists threads discussing codices which have since been replaced.
