But how do I get there?
(I know it's quite a long while to go, but good preparation is half the battle! Or something like that, right?)
I live in Sweden, so it's not that easy. I have calculated that the cheapest and easiest would probably be to fly from Gothenburg to London and go from there,
but what's the best way to get from there to Birmingham?
Or is there maybe another, better, way?
The key word here should also be "cheap", as the plane tickets would eat most of my money.

The nec is next door to birmingham airport. Should be cheaper than a london airport as well.

what johnstewartjohn said, fly into birmingham, through to the NEC, fly out the same night...
I think that's the cheapest way to do it, however it would be a very tiring day, If you're looking for hotels try this list
http://www.laterooms.com/en/k17199604_nec-hotels.aspx#xmubav
even though it's laterooms, the hotels will still be there in september

Oh, so stupid of me not to think about that! Thank you so much for clearing that up for me.
A flight straight to Birmingham it is.
And thanks for the link to the hotels.

Yeah, I will almost certainly see you there. Maybe I should wear a nametag...
Is there any possibilities of getting a few games of 40K going while in Birmingham? [url_http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/content/article.jsp?aId=10500052a]This little bit of text[/url] suggests there will be "participation games" inside, but "all the miniatures are provided. All you have to do is turn up and play" also tells me that it won't be as fun. Anyone for wargaming?

unfortunatly Games day is geared towards "participation games" massive games ran be redshirts/gaming clubs that tend to be geared towards the massive Siege of Terra/ Armeggeddon/ Battle of Mcragge style fights.
so probably not
