The howl of the wind that rushed through the valley, covered the scuttling of my brood. Every termagant under my control moved around, preparing for the invasion of the main will of the Hive Mind. This had been the second settlement we had managed to infest, and every little one that I bore was another piece of biomass that would generate fuel for the Hive. I have not been spawned for long, but my mission has given me great insight into the minds of our food. The planet we currently reside on is known as Prospero. This ball of ice is a welcoming reminder of the coldness of space. Our presence has not yet been detected, and so my brood spreads throughout this place.

Each cycle we have spent on this planet has left my body filling with more and more of my spawnlings. Each termagant, as these humans have called them, is a willing servants of the Hive Mind, seeking out the fuel it will require to keep our species moving ever closer to the center of the galaxy. I spend my days hiding in the mountains and evergreen forests that inhabit this land, each night I ingest more biomass to create increase the size of my brood. The Hive Mind in its wisdom has sent me two of our guardians, these beasts are mindless, but few things ever make it near enough to disturb my work. We have almost depleted our resources here, I have already begun preparations to move on to the next settlement.

The will of the Hive Mind has blessed my body with more gifts than other progenitors. We are moving quickly through this sector, my children move faster, attack with more venom than I could ever imagine. It is as though the Hive Mind moves through my children; its will is their drive.


I will be going over a battle report as this first story, but I'm going to be writing it in my free time. Feel free to comment, critique... I'm a terrible writer, just let me know what I can improve.

It's okay but it needs more emphasis on the hive mind...
Anything that any organism sees is seen by all.

1) You can rip it to shreds, I'm not a great writer, nor do thoughts stay in my head for very long. So I'm not sure how its good.
2) Originally written as a battle report I have in written in a notebook, its from the perspective of my Tervigon hq in an escalation league I'm in. My 500 point nid army was up against a space wolves army. I haven't had the time to finish writing up the rest of it... I thought it would be interesting to see tyranid fiction from the perspective of the bugs, but its hard coming up with words and ideas for an alien language that doesn't require a spoken form of communication, and vocal sounds are just screeches and clicks... I'm working on it lol

They essentially communicate through psyhic commands.
Sw would be interesting, Tyranids are the kind of enemy they like to face. Monsters are for slaying.

Yeah! Thats why I wanted to try it, but its a lot more difficult than I had originally thought.

There would only be talk between the synapse units... so warriors, tyrants etc
The smaller non-synapse units would probably not think about much apart from a few basic thoughts.
