Not the band, the game!!!!!!

Managed to pick up a fleet while on holiday from a car boot for £10....but what's the game like?? Is it worth tracking down rules etc? Or is this fleet going to turn into a nice dust-gathering device??

It probably will, sorry to break it to you, but you MAY have been swindled, because it's nigh IMPOSSIBLE to find any rules , so yes, it will LIKELY become a dust gathering device.

Man O war is out there, but carries a huge price. Those who have it, and know what they have, want big $$ for it. I had a set for a while. IIRC I paid well over $100 for it. Fleets are going for at or near that price as well.

So thats the good news, if you cant find or afford a rule set, you should be able to get a good bit of money for the fleet, far more than you paid for it.
