Below are some images of a few warhounds i have painted over the past few days, the base of the models are unifinished and i plan to finish them off with regular flock and gravel. So what do you think?

This model i like very much because of its stance and again i have made good use of the red to highlight certain areas of the model

I always have that problem. I find that a light base, for me, looks too cheerful, but a dark base makes the model fade a little. I'm waiting for some dead grass coloured static in the post that should help with this, I think.

Yep, true. I have done that many times paint a model such as a chaos space marine in dark colours then paint the base dark and it just looks terrible.

Results thus far are pretty much exactly what I would expect. It's a very simple paintjob, but there's nothing especially poorly done, either. That's tabletop quality in a nutshell.

Fair enough but when you say simple i do agree but with my limit of skills there are not many areas where i can improve the model.

Quite nice. An improvement to the base would be to make it a light brown instead of the green it currently is, it will enable a light base without looking too bright.
