Does anybody have any idea what can be expected of type 4 infantry? I've seen tiny screens of the type 3 Axis gorillas and Allied Grim Reapers, but what of type 4? Are they those Russian bipedal robots?

I think the Russian KV walkers will probably be a Tank type.
There is no type 4 Infantry (yet), but for Troop 4 I'd expect some kind of Power Armored hero type or maybe Aliens?

I always thought that the KV bots, which look an awful lot like those suits of power armour from AT-43's Red Blok, would be type 4's, but I've been woefully wrong before many a time.
The Vrill (sp?) are two expansions away IIRC, before that are nazi zombies first.

Chances are the Vril, once their released, are probably going to be the first army in Dust Tactics to bring the heavy-duty, hard-hitting type-4 infantry units to the board. That being said, like most of the expansions which have been released up to this point, I wouldn't be surprised if during the inevitable release both the Allies and Axis forces are granted type-4 units. Personally, I'm expecting a powered-armoured "KampfsAffen" Gorillas squad as the Axis' new unit.
Here's to another 6 months of waiting for the upcoming expansion.

In the main rules Type 4 Armor it say no Earth based tech has reached this level. So don't except them until Virl.
What I want to know is, how long until "Paperclip". Commandos and old mad scientist german castles. Hell, yeah.

Bob: Outrageous, How dare he say such blasphemy. I've got to do something.
Man #1: Bob, there's nothing you can do.
Bob: Well, I guess I'll just have to develop a sense of humor. |

At the moment, it's looking like " Operation Paperclip", or any of the three remaining expansions, will be released sometime during this year's holiday season, just in time for Christmas. That being said and out of the way, nothing is set in stone at the moment. Remember, the contents of " Operation Seelowe" still need to be released. Then, come Christmas time, there are a total of three different expansions which could be released, depending on what Fantasy Flight Games thinks.

Probably. Dust Studios has recently released both the official rules and actual kit for a Sino-Soviet walker called the " Fury of Ivan". This, having been released, seems like a giant red flag that some Sino-Soviet expansion is either in the works of is being considered for later development. Again, it seems to be just a matter of time. Also, personally, I find it odd that the Vril expansion would come before the Soviets, so possibly expect an expansion sooner then latter.

Having received the official Dust "sourcebook" (which is more a gasmask and titty fetish art book that's horribly translated into English) they show off a suit of German power armour that is a Type 4, but has been classified as being too dangerous to handle by humans.

Some of the art is awesome, especially the sino-soviet stuff, a great teaser of what is to come. But other than that.. Well, stupid "source book" aside, they at least know how to do great decals.
