I started building Warhammer armies about 6 years ago and have quiet alot now.
Thing is I dont have anyone to play with, I did play a little 4years ago but I wouldnt exactly say I remember alot.

Does anyone know of a club in or near to letchworth thats not on a monday night.

I'd like to start from the bare basic and learn the game from scratch almiot. I'd like to have a dedicated room in my house but it being a one bed I cant reallly play in the house, hense the club question.

I do feel silly being almost 30 and female and just getting back into this as I feel that If I join a club it'll be like walking a saloon scene and everyone stares as they'll be teenagers.

anyway if anyone can help.

lol I doubt youl get the "staring thing" most gamers are pretty relaxed and older than youd think! although you may get the "oh wow a girl gamer" thing

I dont know much about Letchworth but being from hertfordshire myself Ive looked around loads for clubs!

theres a Games Workshop in Stevenage you could play at, the manager there is quite friendly and allows games during the day, he also holds an evening Vets night. I think theres also a club based up there to.
If you get the chance pop into KS Models Stevenage to, they had flyers for various clubs or just pm me if your willing to travel and Il give you details of the ones I attend.

(that goes for anyone else in hertfordshire reading this thread and wants to find a club to attend to !!!)


Im from hertford so I personally attend a vets night in Harlow and a club in Waltham Cross and just shop in Stevenage lol.

sorry if its abit late but like Trinity iv struggled to find slightly older gamers in the area. Im from letch and jus got back into things after a 10yr gap. Study and having a family kinda got in the way!!!

Much the same i dont really relish the fact of having to play with many zitty little kids....jus being short of 31 isnt a good look to hang around with teens playing with plastic figures. So if you could Redeyed supply some club names or anything in the local Hitchin/letchworth/herts area that would be great!

Hi guys, sounds like a few of us are in the same situation; I too am in my 30s and looking for clubs that play 40k in the Herts area, any such info much appreciated!
I know of a decent club in Watford if anyone is willing to go that far south?

Hey i'm from Luton, early 20's and also having the same problem.

I first got into 40k back in 2003 by a friend who used to play CSM, over the years we've drifted apart so these days i don't tend to play but recently i've spent alot of time rekindling my love of strategy games through Dawn of war, which lead me back to 40k and as a result i'm now here buying more models and rebuilding my SM army (i do have a small Tau force but focusing on SM for the moment)

I work at the lister so after work i'd be free to go to a club - just no idea where a local club is, the luton branch of GW closed a few years back, i may have to pop into the GW in hitchin and see if there is a club near us all.
