Me and some friends (We are all new to BattleTech) have made it through the intro box. Its been a blast.. great game lots of options.
But we are looking to expand past the intro box... and we are all feeling abit overwhelmed with the wealth of options.
So basically we are looking for suggestions.
Not too much into the rpg aspect.... but campaigns and story arcs do to with battles are great. Also what year is the most common to be playing in.. I think the intro box is 3039?
Just looking for suggestions for whats best after the intro box.

thanks in advance!

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

Here is the path of stuff in a general way:

Intro Box
Total Warfare
Technical Readouts
Solaris Skunk Werks - Free 'Mech creation software http://www.solarisskunkwerks.com
TechManual
Tactical Operations (We have a rule for that)
Strategic Operations

Now at any point after you get Total Warfare, there is a metric buttload of sourcebooks and other non-essential books available to you. On BattleCorps http://www.battlecorps.com you can download a bunch of PDFs of old scenario books, sourcebooks through the decades Battletech has been around, and tons of other things like Record Sheets. Hint: If you get Skunk Werks, you only need Record Sheets for vehicles and infantry. Blank versions are available at the site Orlanth mentioned.

Also, head over to http://www.catalystdemos.com and sign up as a player. You can find local Demo Agents (like me) and other local players.

A friend and I are just finishing a campaign set in the FedCom Civil War around 3067. I prefer to play post-3050 at any time because I like the better equipment, but I don't mind playing in the 3025 era or even the Star League.

I just want to play BattleTech.
