Couple of apologies first - I've really tried looking all over the web and these forums for some help but haven't really found a suitable topic. Second, I hope this is the right forum for this, but if not, please move it!

I've played 40K for years now, but recently have got back into modelling 'real life' vehicles, in particular, modern military era (I suppose about 1950's onwards, though probably more sort of first Gulf War era). I'm wondering if there are any rule sets that would allow me to play games with models from this era? I'm looking at around 1:48 or 1:32 scale. I did have a good look at flames of war, but decided that its a bit too early for me, plus I really like the modelling aspect of the hobby and find 1:100+ scale doesn't offer the modelling oppurtunities that the larger scales do.

Thanks in advance guys!

I loved the game even if the parent company gave it no love.
