We just ended our 12 week campaign tonight with a game of apocalyptic proportions! We had a few
Apoc matches scattered in but it was mainly a campaign of 2v2, 1v1 etc, so it was great when we had 6v6, 15000+ on each side tonight!
We had an Ork Gargant, a shadowstorm,
LRBT squadrons, antique space wolves figures, eldar tanks, and me footslogging it up. We set it up on an 18x4 board, with 6 feet on either side being deployment zones and a single objective in the center. Rolling hills made the place look like a nice vacation spot if not for the armies of monsters duking it out.
Basically, I ended up royally screwing my team by blobbing infantry platoons and them just getting in the way.

First round of shooting, I used my largely untouched blob and the order 1st rank/2nd rank fire to fire over 100 shots into a terminator squad foolish enough to deepstrike in my face. Once the lasers stopped flying, the termies had slightly warmer armor and not much else happened. Luckily, the 1st
gen space wolf models my ally fielded were more than capable enough to wipe them out, I just had to hear about it the rest of the night.
Long story short, we lose at the end of turn 3 because the store kicked us out and we had just lost the obj. Great fun though, really looking forward to the next league!
