Hey guys,

So having a touch of free time this summer, I finally put the finishing touches on my favorite Forge World model: The Arvus Lighter. Unfortunately though, financial needs, coupled with spring cleaning for unused models, means that she's up for sale. You can see more here: http://smellslikewargaming.blogspot.com/p/for-sale.html

Anyways, I got the opportunity to pick this model up for a good price last year. I'd always loved the figure as it has a true Sci-Fi Lander heroic feel to it. It has no armaments, weapons, etc., and just flies. Stick a Hardened Vet squad in there, and you've got a heroic getaway vehicle! I also wanted a good color scheme that would really make it stand out on the tabletop. Enter "The Taxicab". Some yellow paint, a little checkers, and a catchy logo, and we're set!

Weathering is done using my usual sponging effect.

A series of Purple and pink drybrushes gives the pilot a glowing effect.

And the base is one of Jeff's over at Dragon Forge Designs. Easily my favorite resin bases.
I'm sure I'll pick up a new one at some point, but for now, its time to sell her off. C&C is always appreciated guys!

Granesh
