On Saturday I attended the Cangames 1750
WH40k tournament and had a blast! There were 8 themed tables, each with it's own special mission. My opponents were all excellent and gracious players. This is my 2nd year coming to this event, and it's been awesome both times. I really appreciate the effort put into designing the missions and theming the tables:
City Park and Desert Tables:

Farmhouse and Ice Tables:

Jungle and Refinery/Pipeline Tables

Bastions and Valley Tables:

Some of the armies present at Cangames 2011:
Unfortunately, I didn't get the chance to get photos of more than a few armies. I ended up taking pictures of only my opponents' armies, as well as the Jonathan's army which won Best Painted. Two of my opponents were in the top 4 armies up for Best Painted (the judges selected the top 4, and then the players cast a secret ballot to vote among those 4 for Best Painted).
It seemed as though most of the armies were Space Marines of one flavour or another - all loyalist, I believe. There was at least one Imperial Guard army, one Ork army and one Witchhunters army but I can't recall seeing any other armies there.
The photos were taken with my phone - some of these wide-angle shots are blurry (apologies). Thankfully, most of the photos from the actual battles (see links to Battle Reports below) turned out ok. The photo of my army on display is blurry sadly, but hopefully I will be able to replace it with a better photo from one of the many folks who were there with real cameras
My Tyranids army (made it into the top 4 in the running for Best Painted!):
My first round opponent Ryan Henshaw's Space Marines (apologies, caught his army in its movement tray rather than on display):
Second round opponent John Franklin's Drop Pod Dreadnought army:
Third round opponent Richard Fisher's Witchhunters army (this army was in the top 4 in the running for Best Painted)
Fourth round opponent Ryan Robson's Deathwing army (this army was also in the top 4 in the running for Best Painted)
And the winner of the Best Painted award: Jonathan Palermo's "Aurora Chapter" green Space Marines:
