Hi all,
Hopefully you've opened this post to find out what on earth the Shades Incarnadine is?
With any luck, it will be an up and coming epic (as far as they can go on these forums), but my hopes aren't too high. In any case, the premise of 'Shades Incarnadine' is this:

Captain Magnus Fallon is the Captain of the Third Company, Shades Incarnadine. This chapter is extremely unorthodox, fighting primarily in Scout units, utilising strike tactics and trap/encricle methods.
The Chapter is a succession of the Raven Guard, yet their preference is for ranged combat. Based on the night world Parthus, the Shades Incarnadine inhabit an equatorial mountain range, spread throughout a labrynthine complex .of caves and tunnels underneath the surface. This base is known to the Imperium as The Pit.

The Pit, however, is nearly impossible to find in actuality. Only the Captains and the senior warriors of the Chapter know the true entance to the base; many people are thrown by false entrances, booby traps and psychic trickery. The Chapter Master, Victor Akturius, takes it upon himself to personally recruit the Chapter's intake, posing mental and physical tests for those wily enough to locate him in the hive cities' dark alleys. In return for its services, the planet's population is shielded from the uncountable foes that make contact with the planet. Inevitably for a world shrouded in darkness, the planet of Parthus attracts frequent raids from the Dark Eldar, forcing a great deal of caution among the civilian population, but honing the martial skills of the Shades Incarnadine. Each of the 10 man squads in a company (8 Scout Squads, 2 Devastator Squads and 2 Land Speeders) are so finely trained that each Dark Eldar assault is either turned about on its face, or summarily obliterated by disciplined waves of bolter fire from concealed positions). When the Shades Incarnadine are drawn abroad, their prepared positions are manned by countless chapter serfs, as the guerilla tactics employed by their forces are best employed in a widespread action, isolating as many segments of the enemy force to create a mass of confusion.

Next Time: Fallon Magnus and the 3rd Company
