I'm trying to find some fairly cheap WWII houses, for North Africa or France. Does anyone know a good vendor?

Paper terrain! A FLGS near me that's the place to go for FoW uses this stuff, and it's fantastic. I'm planning on picking up a European village set this summer.

Total Battle Miniatures do substantial 15mm European Ranges in resin. JR Miniatures as well. Baueda do a small range they are slowly retooling, and Kerr and King also do some scenics.
Timecast stock 15mm ready-painteds, and I'm told they intend to do more in 15mm in resin.
Finally, Oshiro model terrain. They specialize in Japanese architecture, but I understand they are willing to work in other periods.

"There's a time when the operation of the machine becomes so odious—makes you so sick at heart—that you can't take part. You can't even passively take part. And you've got to put your bodies upon the gears and upon the wheels, upon the levers, upon all the apparatus, and you've got to make it stop. And you've got to indicate to the people who run it, to the people who own it that unless you're free, the machine will be prevented from working at all" Mario Savio |
