Not sure what to think about it, honestly. I still hate how Capcom is trying to piss of their fans to increase sales, but I probably will end up renting/Gameflying this.

Looks like Devil May Cry to me, everything is there in the combat style.
Its pretty clearly a reboot, or at least some kind of parallel/mirror world if those lines about "the city is a lie" are plot significant. Maybe something like "old Dante was the real Dante, but this is what Dante thought he was before Sparda/some demon/Virgil clued him in."
I dig the music though.

It could be about him as Tony Redgrave? They've been slowly explaining that throughout the whole series (until the episode in the anime where it was explicitly stated that it was a name he went by until the town was destroyed and he "died")
