Wow, I love the tau and imperial guard. You really nailed the camo. I was a bit unsure on the SM colour scheme, but still very well painted.

If this is your old stuff I'd like to see more/new stuff!

Im not really diggin the purple-rim bases, but the army looks awesome! Nice color choice. I also like the light purple wash you gave the silver, really goes well with the theme, nice work!

Right click on the image, click "copy image URL" or "copy image location" or whatever like you're linking the picture. Click on "post reply" in the thread, and at the top you'll see a bunch of little buttons - bold, italic, quote, spoiler, etc. Click on "image" - this creates the beginning of an image tag: ["IMG"] (without quotes) then post your image URL after it, and click image again. This closes the tag with ["/IMG"] (again without quotes) and your image will show up in posts. Alternately you can just manually type it in like I just did.

Some images for the lazy:

The Tau don't really excite me. Although the camo work is very good, you should try doing some edge highlights too. The colors are a bit saturated for camo too, in my opinion. The Guard, however, look awesome. I would love to see them on the other side of the battlefield! The Marines look alright; the green layering you've got is solid, but the solid black parts on guns are very dull. Try highlighting them with some Codex Grey. Overall, good work!

Thanks all.

I will take some pics of my new stuff asap. Right now I have SM, IG, Tau, and Eldar. All but the SM painted using washes--read lazy with age--rather than blackout. the SM army is painted the old style. So, perhaps I'll photo them first. My current Tau are up for sale, as I want to re-explore this army from the ground up. The Tau were feared locally, but the new Gray knights have nerfed them sadly with whatever that weapon is that soaks up plasma/pulse fire.

I tend to build odd armies, so it will be fun to see what yall say about them.

I still would like to know how you got the base on those termies to look like that.

exactly what part of the base? Painting, flocking, edging?

The painting and flocking particularly I'm sure the edging is just purple.

IIRC, I set a couple of rough spots made of white glue and sand and let dry. I then painted all with rust brown (forgot GW color). When dry I then dry brushed desert yellow over the rough spots. I used a water/desert yellow mix and swirled it over the flat areas to look like mud trampled. I then added a tuft of grass and white glue. Edges purple
