Alright so i have a pretty good amount of models from when i ust to play when it first came out and i started to miss it, but it seems as though alot has changed and i wondering what all i needed rules wise. i play uruk hai.

Finallly someone who also plays Uruk-hai It depends on who you are playing against. You certainly need the big blue hardcover book (or the small one from the Mines of Moria set) and you should also prabablly get the Legions of Middle-Earth book.

What do you guys think i should use in a 500 point game

Saruman or Lurtz, orcs and a bunch of Uruk Hai (heavy armor ones) maybe some uruk scouts for shooting.

i have lurtz and 9 uruk hai with swords and shields and 9 with pikes 5 warg riders

Best do that. Those guys are damn good.

If you playing against army of the dead, berserkers are a very good choice because army of the dead roll wounds against courage (7courage ftw!!). You probably want to make a list with a lot of shield warriors (6def against gondor is good) and if you are taking wargs, get yourself Sharku because cavalry needs a captain with might. As heroes, take some captains with or without shields and heavy armour, but don't take Lurtz. I just think he's not worth it, too low defense. I also like to take a Shaman, but for 500points I wouldn't take Saruman.

This is exactly 500points and pretty solid against army of dead and cavalry because of a 3guy line (pike-spear-shield-enemy). Berserkers are going to own those army of the dead

That looks like a mean list right there.

If you are not going to play against cavalry you might want to drop the pikes and get some more shields en orcs with spears. The pikes are a deathtrap if you lose the fight (rare with 3 attacks, but it happens ) because your first guy can't retreat the distance (I only know it in cm, 2cm) because the pike can't make place for the spear who has to make place for the shield

to prevent pike blocks dying for lost fights, I would swap lurtz for a regular captain(higher defence) and put him in the front row of the pike block. behind him on rank 3 I would a banner instead of a pike. The captain's two attacks compensate for the lost pike attack.
