I recieved this email, twice funnily enough, and it had mentioned that the older servers had been hacked. I concluded straight away that it was a phishing email. However to be on the safe side I went onto the Bioware server and reset my password. The link I recieved via email from EA was the same one from Bioware. Maybe they have been hacked, im not sure on this one.
Copy of Email from Bioware:
Spoiler:
We recently learned that hackers gained unauthorized access to the decade-old BioWare server system supporting the Neverwinter Nights forums. We immediately took appropriate steps to protect our consumers’ data and launched a thorough ongoing evaluation of the breach. We have determined that no credit card data was compromised from the servers, nor did we ever have or store sensitive data like social security numbers. Our investigation shows that information such as user names, encrypted passwords, email addresses, mailing addresses, names, phone numbers, CD keys and birth dates from these forum accounts on the system may have been compromised, as well as other information (if any) that you may have associated with your EA Account. In an abundance of caution, we have changed your password to ensure account security. Please visit this https://www.ea.com/gb/profile/reset-password?token=INbCdD6FAe0ND8AcYXJcXG-BPDdIiFbjBIz8DHAqzRxvXACS07W3ZgWqhFaEldMDvsSKpgy-ZkKGioXoeI0hyQ..&locale=en_GB to reset your password immediately.

We take the security of your information very seriously and regret any inconvenience this may have caused you. If your username, email address and/or password on your EA account are similar to those you use on other sites, we recommend changing the password at those sites as well. We advise all of our fans to always be aware of any suspicious emails or account activity and report any suspicious emails and account activity to Customer Support at 1-877-357-6007.
Ah I see, so only those that got sent emails have been affected.
So since somebody else has my email address ill more than likely get hit with a bunch of spam emails... as more than likely the hackers will sell it on to companies.
Another hacking by Lulzsec perhaps??

Could be. I got the email too, but I never player Neverwinter Nights, so I'm OK. Sorry to hear that they've got your details. Might be a good idea to change your emails password, just in case.

It was indeed Lulzsec. Luckily, Shadow Group is a loyalist hacker group that is attacking Lulzsec. They will find them and report where they are to the police and these idiots will get what they deserve.

Isnt that a bit ironic tho? If the Shadow Group do indeed find Lulzsec, wouldn't they also be put on trial for the Computer Misuse Act?? Seems a bit odd.
Unless they actually work for the police or w/e, then it seems to be fine lol.

They won't go up to Scotland Yard and say "Hi, we're a hacking group called Shadow Group that just hacked another hacking group. Here are there details.", it'll most likely be an anonymous tip off.
Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

"You need not fear us, unless you are a dark heart, a vile one who preys on the innocent; I promise, you can’t hide forever in the empty darkness, for we will hunt you down like the animals you are, and pull you into the very bowels of hell." Iron - Within Temptation

I very nearly used that link to change my password this morning...
Not at all, the link in the email was genuine, just i thought it looked phishy. Upon actualy requesting an email to change my password(as i couldnt sign in coz Bioware changed all possible affected accounts) the link they then sent out was the same.
So in fact Bioware tried to help.

Ah OK. Thanks for letting me know, I'm pretty tired ATM (not to mention I'm getting pretty tired of this lulzsec thing recently ).
