I decided to take a break from my sisters project until prospects come out from the new codex, so I started some work on my salamanders.

This is my first completed model from them, and if you wish to see more, you can see them Here.

Thanks for looking,a nd any comments or suggestions welcome.

Looks nice and crisp. But it could do with a bit of washing and highlighting to make it look less flat.

That looks fantastic. Very crisp and clean. It reminds me of a lot of old RT-era stuff.

I had considered this and even did a bit to test it out and did not give the look I was wanting. The camera shows it less because of the flash, but there is a clear shading difference between the top of the model and the bottom. I wanted to give a nice sun beating look to the top paints and less to the bottom.

FYI, I should have added, the drop pod is only there for effect, I have not really begun painting it yet.

OH that makes sense, i thought the drop pod was done. It looked a bit undone. The dreadnought looks clean but the red looks a bit flat.

Agreed, on the missiles and the yellow on the claw need some highlights. I had a lapse when I worked on it last night.

Did you guys know Canada has a friggin desert?

I'm not sure why, but the dreadnought reminds me of the Megaman series for some reason...good old nostalgia, I like it!

You're not playing the game like I play it...why aren't you playing the game like I play it?! O_O
