Serpant Guard Chapter

The Serpant Guard are a mysterious chapter, who some say are succesors of the Salamanders. Whatever the case, they are secretive indeed. Their home planet used to be Vulcan, but they have long since been dirven out of their homeland. With this, they fled into the far reaches, and, according to the federal archives, came across a Space Hulk which, unlike any other, seemed sturdy enough to station a base of operations. A protonic beam anchor was set on the palnet it was orbiting so that it could not drift of into the darkness od space. Ever since, this has been their chapter fortress, for a millenium.

The Freon Crusade

The chapter were founded in the seventh founding, and shortly afeter were thrown into the heat of battle. Their Chapter master, Azkarn, was still an untested commander in war, and the Imperial officers waited, for his first move. This led to the Freon crusade, which let the battle brothers fight against the most hated enemy of the Imperium, Chaos. The crusade lasted 5 years, and within that time, the Serpant Guard became ever more veterans in the tactics of war.

About the Freon Crusade, 5 years seem very short. Further, it could have some more fluff, but a good beginning is always nice
