I am having a series of games next week and I am looking for some feedback. I will be facing two other opponents, one using an Eldar fleet and the other will be using an Imperial Fleet.
Chaos Warmaster - no upgrades - 100pts
Despoiler Class Battleship - 400 pts
2 Repulsive Class Grand Cruisers (with upgraded range) - 480
3 Devstation Class Cruisers - 570
3 Carnage Class Cruisers - 540
5 Infidel Escorts - 200
5 Infidel Escorts - 200
Total: 2490
My strategy for the eldar fleet, is to spend the first couple of turns using my long range weapons batteries to herd his ships to into less and less space, therefore limiting his manuverability. To prevent him from slipping behind my fleet, I think that a deployment in depth will solve that problem: the Carnages and the Repulsives in front, the Despoiler and the Devestations behind them, and the two Infidel squadrons in the rear to provide a quick reation force to deal with any unwelcome suprises. The biggest problem I will encounter in his fleet are his two Voidstalkers, the extended range of their weapons combined with its speed they are the only ships in his fleet that have the ability to sucsessfully hit me and run away out of range of my 60cm guns.
The Imperial fleet will be much more dificult to deal with. I am reasonably sure that I will enjoy ordnace supremacy (32 torpedoes and 20 launch bays). In light of this, I plan to use my Infidel squadrons and the Repulsives to launch torpedoes, to deal with his fighter screens, infront of my fighters/bombers/assaultboats who will be aiming at his ships equiped with nova cannons. The rest of my fleet will hang back and take long range potshots at the rest of his fleet forcing it to advance closer. At this point I will concentrate my fire on one ship at a time

until it is either dead or atempting to disengage.
Any feedback, good or bad would be appreciated.
Preemptive thanks,
Goruss
