Was checking out the new Uncharted.. never played the others. Will I wish I started at the beginning first? or should I just jump right in at #3?

The story is very much inspired by indiana jones (you could watch those films in any order if you wanted) and has little in the way of continuity of character development so jump in wherever you want really.

The second one is great; you may want to start there to see if the third entry is worth shelling out the cash for, since it's undoubtedly cheaper. Unfortunately, the first game is forgettable; you could skip it entirely.

Pain is an illusion of the senses, Despair an illusion of the mind.

Play the first one. If you play the others first it will look too dated.

Right now it doesn't look terrible and is still worth playing.

I've played a little bit of part 2 and thought it was great. For some reason I couldn't really get a handle on part 1. The controls felt awkward. I played part 2 before I played part 1.

I've heard the first one wasn't very good but the second one is. Very entertaining and keeps you on your toes.

It was a great game, but I suppose it has gotten a little dated. When it came out, it was one of the PS3's best games. 1st Gen games for a new console never age well.

I downloaded the multiplayer demo and I hated it :( I turned it off and deleted it half way through my 2nd match.

Is the single player good? Is it a really long campaign or one you can blow through in one day like FPS games?

Single player is infinitely better than multi player, though that isn't saying much as multi player uncharted is really really bad.

The competitive multiplayer is...well, awful. The co-op multiplayer is surprisingly good and the story mode is amazing.
