I play Dwarves and a small group of us are doing a demo in 6 weeks for War of the Rings.

A new player desires to create about a 500 - 1,000 point list of Rohan, and I am at a loss for advice. I've never seen them played in this game.

Would any of you be so kind as to throw out a rough list with perhaps one modest hero?

He prefers to stay on the plastic side to save money.

what about Riders of Rohan, Royal Knights, Oathsworn Militia + Theoden and perhaps an ENT ally? ( we could bend the rule on this)

Ent (optional) or another riders box (optional) = higher point army

Oathsworn Militia: Formation # 1

ADD another unit of Riders (one more box) and you are at 935 or with ENT 1,060
Any thoughts folks?

OR, IF HE"S REALLY ON A BUGET, DO 500 POINTS WITH:

Riders of Rohan boxes x 2
one company each, 3 formations
captain in one, Theoden in the other?

That gives fate points, potential leadership bonuses to both, and the ability to expand with infantry later when he can afford 3 -4 boxes of warriors.
