Reading, PA

Hello there folks. Steel Thunder (aka Mike B) from the Berks-PA Gaming Club based out of Reading PA. Just had a good time last week at Dakkacon at Showcase Comics & Games.

Friends of our club locally, based out of Lancaster PA have started a new podcast designed for newer players, since they themselves are newer players to the hobby.

As of this posting, they are up to 7 episodes and they provide a great commentary for both noobs and veterans about all different aspects of the hobby of Warhammer 40K and Warhammer Fantasy Battles.

Several of our club members listen to their podcast when building or painting models, especially when a group gets together. They covered our tournament (Berks Spring Assault, in episodes 3 and 4), and not only give good advice to new players, but help some of us veterans see the hobby once again from the eyes of the newer players, not only getting us back to the basics, but also reminding us on what we as veterans need to help the newer players to focus on as we teach them the hobby.

So, when you have some time, check out the guys of Noobhammer at : http://www.noobhammer.com/ They do a great job, are entertaining and if you get a chance to meet them, both are fun people to play a game against. Jason is the sculptor and primarily a Space Wolf and Dwarf player and Nate is the techno-genius and plays Orks in 40K and either Tomb Kings or Vampire Counts in Fantasy.

Benevolence, Mercy, Discipline, Pain. Clan Steel Thunder Motto.
